Class Teachers (two positions, full-time or 0.8 FTTE, permanent or fixed-term)

Our students are at the heart of everything we do at Te Rā Waldorf School!

We are looking for two positive and passionate teaching colleagues to join our team – teachers who:

• Are committed to culturally responsive practice

• Build and maintain inclusive learning environments

• Have effective classroom management skills

• Deliver quality learning programmes across all curriculum areas

• Have proven ability to build strong positive relationships with students and whānau

• Are skilled in integrating music, singing, drama and/or visual arts into the classroom programme

• Are genuinely committed to professional growing and learning.

Willingness and ability to take part in instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment.

Applicants must be registered with the NZ Teaching Council and hold a valid practising certificate.

Experience with Waldorf education is an advantage. We are open to applicants new to the Waldorf learning environment who can commit to prioritising the school’s special character in their professional development goals.

The commencement dates for these positions are 14 March 2022 and 4 May 2022, respectively.
